We are seeking to purchase aviation headset noise cancelling for our operations. We want to use a current Audiophile headset that will work Wired and Wireless. If we have it in wired mode, the active noise reduction/Bluetooth needs to be able to still work. Plus, many pilots like transparency modes. Pilots are looking for a much better audio experience, so we have successfully converted a few audiophile headsets for use, but we also install these headsets into helmets. When installed in a helmet sometimes we need to be wired so it will have to work while plugged into a port on the headphones.
General overview: We require aviation headsets featuring advanced noise cancelling technology for pilot and crew use. We need a Bluetooth, rechargeability, and finally we would like a transparent hear through technology. This can be controlled through basic controls inline or through an application. IF THE HEADPHONEs DO NOT WORK WIRED WHEN PLUGGED IN, WE CANNOT USE THEM. Pilots will love the ability of wireless, but they need a wired form. We do not mind if it disables the buttons on the headset. We will be making a wire to control it.
Product specifications:
• Noise cancelling: Active noise reduction (ANC, ANR, ENC, Hybrid ANC, Adaptive ANC) minimum 30DB or more
• Microphone: High-sensitivity boom mic with wind noise reduction (we will be using our own microphones as we will just connect it to your system.
• Connectivity: C-port, 3.5mm, Bluetooth option is needed (We would prefer the abilities of a 5.4 chipset or higher - or something similar that goes below .35 in delay and can at least do 10 meters when connection to a phone, table, or Bluetooth radio (again the further the better)
• Comfort: Top of the line ear seal, for comfort and long use. Ear-cup we would like on the smaller side so when installing in a helmet we do not have issue
• Weight/Size: Weight is not as important as long as the whole ear cup is not too large for helmet use
• Durability: Impact-resistant, suitable for frequent use
• Certification: FAA/EASA approved (This is not a requirement, but we would like CE approval or FAA)
• Audio quality: Top notch - would like the best audio experience possible
• Battery life: Minimum 30 hours with ANC on (we would prefer a rechargeable battery)
• Warranty: At least 1-year manufacturer warranty
Service Requirements:
• Fast sample delivery - The quantities after approval of test sample would be 1000-5000 per month or better
• Custom logo/branding available
• Technical support and after-sales service
works wired when the batteries are dead and we plug into a system and must also work with a wire plugged in when the battery is not dead. The noise cancellation and Bluetooth must work while a wire is inserted into the headset. We have done this with many systems.
